Face Recognition Mobile App

We prototyped an app for Fitted, who presented it on their stand at Collision 2019.

The prototype allowed users take a selfie and get recommendations for their face shape. Even though the app was simple enough in terms of navigation, it presented several challenges. And we had just over a month in which to build it!

We built the app in Xamarin, even though we were going to use iOS devices in the conference. This allowed us to share more than a bit of the code between the app and its .NET Core-based API.

At the stand we had access to one of the richest product building experiences we’ve ever had, as we could live-test our prototype with real, diverse users and measure their reactions to the experience.

We had the great pleasure of working together with our friends from Nareia on this project. As always, we had a great time.
